Many staff members and guest instructors are professional magicians with years or even decades of experience. The counselors are mostly prior campers who have enjoyed their experience so much that they are excited to give back and help teach and encourage younger kids. By mentoring and allowing the kids the freedom to explore who they are and what they can do, the camp is much more than about teaching magic and passing down tricks to a new generation, it's about self-discovery, personal achievement and growth, and of course, sharing in the fun and fellowship with good friends.
Our son has been going for the last 8 years, first as a camper, then as a counselor. He loves Magic Camp, and it has done wonders for his ability to work with others. Plus, he's learned some neat magic tricks and juggling skills, including cup stacking!
